I have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 10 years. I have had excellent results with Monolaurin 300mg made by Ecological Formulas or Ancient Formulas. It is an ester of Lauric Acid from coconut therefore it's all natural with no side effects. It works by dissolving virus membranes, thereby deactivating them. (It also acts on bacteria) I take 6 the first day, 4 the next and 2 the 3rd day. By 2nd day I am usually symptom-free. I hope this helps you.

Monolaurin is great stuff. The Lauricidin brand comes in slow dissolving pellets.
Like dissolves like, so coconut oil ester dissolves the lipid coating on some viruses and bacteria. Including Lyme.
XMRV is also a lipid coated virus, so it should help there too.

A naturopath suggested monolaurin over 2 months ago and my dr. @ fibro/fatigue centers approved it. I take 600 mg three times a day, and will have a viral panel ran when I finish my 3rd month of monolaurin--according to the naturopath my EBV titers should be lower. I'm feeling better most days, tho the monolaurin isn't the only new thing I'm trying--mostly I'm pacing myself which I find boring, lol, but it has me back working part time which is amazing for me! My EBV titers are in the 5000 range. I've tried Valcyte, kuttapressin and heparin to no avail. Maybe the monolaurin will work. Also tried Questren for awhile and had good results but so difficult to take other meds with it--and I take a LOT of medications and supplements.
My doc at FFC also told me that 1 mg klonopin per day helps with killing off neurotoxins.

LDN (low dose naltrexone) is being used for a variety of conditions with great success. I have been using it, and it makes me feel more alert, and I have less anxiety and less brain fog on it. I am still adjusting to it so I am tired but less than before. There is good information in the internet at lowdosenaltrexone.org - I'd recommend anyone looking into it, as it is a drug - but in such a low dose - it actually can cure cancer and has very minimal side effects if any.

I've gone and bought myself coconut oil, but now I'm wondering how much I should take, and how to use it. Anyone have any suggestions? And is is better to use coconut oil, or Monolaurin?
