body temp is around 96.8 - 97.3. and I have increased sweating and nervousness so I don't want to do anything to make that worse. Until I became ill, I never used to sweat for no apparent reason. I have some compounded thyroid prescribed by the FFC doc. Just haven't got up the nerve to take it yet.

I am ordering the turmeric today to try. I was doing good until the setback with the Rest and Restore. I will try any thing before going to another Dr.

I've been reading the adrenal book. It's very informative and easy to understand. Do you know of a good Thyroid book? Thanks for all the tips!

Be prepared to take notes and watch it 2X.

Glad you liked the adrenal book. Dr. James Wilson is an excellent writer and teacher.

"I can't take benadryl or Zyrtec It elevates my blood pressure and heart rate".

"I also take Percogesic which I have been taking for about a year".

Even if you've been on the Percogesic for a year, you might consider checking the side effects. If it is "Extra Strength" Percogesic, that contains diphenhydramine(which is generic Benadryl).

And your pharmacist might also be able to assist in reviewing all possible interaction of current medications, over the counter supplements, herbs, etc. Although, forum members probably know a great deal more in the supplement, and herbal products area!

Hope this is helpful,
LadyE
(I am also just learning the computer, so link I provided for the drug search might not have copied correctly!!..you may have a site that you already use.)

LadyEowyn:

MOst people or DRs haven't heard of Percogesic.I take the regular Percogesic. I only take 2 at bedtime. It helps me sleep. I had a terrible experience with ambien.

I had anaphylatic shock twice and saw an allergy specialist who told me to take benadryl 4 times a day. I was so wired up I couldn't stand myself and no one could stand me!Then I started taking Zyrtec 2 times a day. I took it for 5 years with no problems then I started having dizziness and elevated BP. Drs told me that it was not a side effect of Zyrtec. To make a long story short....I was hospitalized twice for severe HBP, and the Drs still saying its not the Zyrtec. They said it was my heart. I Quit taking the Zyrtec myself and my BP returned to normal. AND I had horrible withdrawal from Zyrtec.

Did I read somewhere you are a nurse.

Thanks for the link. It worked!

rtxrus- Yes, I enjoyed being a nurse for over 20 years, and in the medical community for 30 years!....

I do have fibro/CFS brain-fog, :o  , but every once in awhile, the little grey brain cells see a particular phrase, comment, and they "fire up". I am also very practical, and curious by nature.

The other forum members have vast knowledge, and experiences; and most importantly, they are glad to help.

It is an old cliche, but........."hang in there!"....

LadyE,

I was a rad tech specialized in Ultrasound and Mammography for 30+ years. I haven't been able to work for 3 years. Sure do miss it.

This forum is great. I don't have any one here that has much knowledge about FM and CFS. So it has helped me alot.

I know about the brain fog. I thought I was loosing my mind for a while.

Thanks for the encouragement.
