I have a Candida Immune Complex test result of 3.1. The doctor wants me to take Diflucan. Has anyone taken this drug? Any alternatives?
Thank you.

The best treatments for candida include a remedy that focuses on the gut, like Nystatin (Rx) or an over the counter combination remedy (see the Anti Yeast in our store for a list of the ingredients that you want to look for). This remedy is usually taken for 6-8 months. Somewhere between 1-2 months into treatment 6 weeks of Diflucan should be taken (200 mg per day).
Honestly, the best remedy is compounded Nystatin and Diflucan or Sporanox. The over the counter remedies are the next best option if you can't get the Rx's from your practitioner.
