Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia, and its cousin chronic fatigue syndrome, unnecessarily cripple over 6 million Americans. These syndromes are characterized by fatigue, insomnia, brain fog, and in fibromyalgia widespread achiness. They represent an "energy crisis" in your body – kind of like blowing a fuse – and can be triggered by many things that overdraw your body's energy account. These can include infections, stress, pregnancy, and even mild accidents. Interestingly, the illness actually protects you from further harm – just as occurs when you trip a circuit breaker in your home.

Fortunately, published research done in our national center for effective treatment of CFS and fibromyalgia showed that 91% of people can improve when five critical areas are treated. We call this the SHINE protocol. "S" stands for getting eight to nine hours of sleep a night. Because the "circuit breaker" that you blew also controls sleep, you get the paradox of insomnia and exhaustion, and it is critical to get what ever natural and prescription support you need to get eight to nine hours of sleep a night. "H" stands for hormonal support – even if your blood tests are normal. "I" stands for infections. "N" stands for nutritional support. "E" stands for exercise. When these five areas are treated simultaneously, it can often be near miraculous to watch how people improve!
