Antacid Medications (Proton Pump Inhibitors) Cause Leaky Gut Syndrome

In a recent article, we talked about how Fibromyalgia is associated with "Leaky Gut Syndrome" where food is absorbed before it is completely digested. This can result in both food allergies and immune exhaustion. This new study shows that "Proton Pump Inhibitors" (e.g., Prilosec, Prevacid and Nexium) can cause leaky gut within days of starting them. Fortunately, the leaky gut goes away within days of stopping them.

Though OK for short term use, for long term use it is better to use Natural treatments for Indigestion, which can be very effective.
