Wool for Fibromyalgia Pain Relief

Experience has shown that people's fibromyalgia pain worsens in the winter cold. A simple tool has been shown to be very helpful in practice. Simply use wool for warmth.

Wool has the wonderful ability to keep you warm while also pulling moisture away from your skin. Used for clothing, especially long underwear covering your chest and trunk at least to above your knees, it will keep your muscles from locking in the short position by keeping them warm. Used as a bed liner, it will make your sleep much more comfortable. The joke is that the girl in the story "The Princess and the Pea" must have had fibromyalgia. In addition, a woolen blanket/quilt will keep you warm, and a wool pillowcase will soak up moisture (head sweat) and leave your head dry and warm.

During winter time, I would add all of these in combo (wool underwear from neck to knees, pillow case, bed liner and quilt) if you can. If you can afford, a company called "Cuddle Ewe" makes the best sheepskin bed liners. These are the entire skins and not only the wool, so they are pricier — but make for an excellent and comfortable sleep. Click here to visit their website.

A less expensive option is to simply get the woolens and not the whole sheep skin. Below is a large web shop in Australia which mails worldwide, and Australia makes great wool. Also, the Australian dollar is weak against the U.S. and Canadian dollars and Euros, making their products a good value. I have not bought from them, but their website looks good. After you try this approach (you'll be glad you did ;-) write us and let other readers know which woolens companies worked best for you.
