Are You Happiness Deficient?

Optimizing Your Health — Part 3: Optimizing Happiness

Dear Readers,

I'm delighted to announce that my book, Three Steps to Happiness! Healing Through Joy, is now available on Amazon.com as a Kindle Edition eBook.

To celebrate the occasion — and celebration is definitely a cornerstone of a joyful life — this issue of the newsletter features highlights from the "Three Steps" that can help you feel happy. Even if you suffer with chronic illness!

And feeling happy is just as important to optimal health as eating and sleeping well. In fact, happiness is so health giving, it can extend your life. When Dutch researchers analyzed 30 studies on happiness and longevity, they found that happy folks lived 10-40% longer than others! They called the effect of happiness on longevity "remarkably strong." And more good news? Being happy can help you heal. So you will actually want to live longer ;-)

So let's add more of that remarkably strong "happy medicine" — which is free and has no side effects — into your life. Starting today!

This is an eBook version, just released, of Dr. T's popular guide to happiness.

Happiness is our natural state of being. It is who we are. This happiness is obvious when you look at little children before they take on society's beliefs. Their natural state is to feel all of their feelings without resistance, leaving them free to spend most of their time being happy and playful.

It is not necessary to be happy all of the time. By applying the simple three-step principles in this book, however, you can develop the ability to be happy whenever you choose! Dr. Teitelbaum's personal experience with thousands of very ill patients shows that these techniques can help you reclaim both the health and passion in your life!

For those who would like the book, but don't have a Kindle reader, you can buy a pdf version from EndFatigue.

This Week's Joke

Free Advice

A doctor and a lawyer were talking at a party.

Their conversation was constantly interrupted by people describing their ailments and asking the doctor for free medical advice.

After an hour of this, the exasperated doctor asked the lawyer, "What do you do to stop people from asking you for legal advice when you're out of the office?"

"I give it to them," replied the lawyer, "and then I send them a bill."

The doctor was shocked, but agreed to give it a try.

The next day, still feeling slightly guilty, the doctor prepared the bills.

When he went to place them in his mailbox, he found a bill from the lawyer.
