End Fatigue
This Week's News (January 27, 2012)
To Prevent Heart Disease, Rely on Natural Medicine. It was another bad week for standard medicine. Two main treatments for heart disease protection — cholesterol-lowering statins and blood-thinning aspirin — were found to cause more harm than good — except in those who already have angina or a personal (not family) history of strokes or heart attacks. Having just finished my fourth book in as many years, I'm happy to announce that I've decided to once again return to seeing patients for a few hours each week.
Featured This Week
Corvalen (D-Ribose)
A Powerful and Natural Body Energizer
D-Ribose (or Ribose) is a simple, five-carbon sugar that is found naturally in our bodies. But Ribose is not like any other sugar. When we consume Ribose, the body recognizes that it is different from other sugars and preserves it for the vital work of actually making the energy molecule that powers our hearts, muscles, brains, and every other tissue in the body.
Corvalen is my recommended brand of Ribose. Taking Corvalen every day is an excellent way to reduce muscle stiffness, soreness and fatigue.
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) — Maple Nut Flavor
Coenzyme Q10 is critical for energy production. Although it is found in the diet, it can become depleted during periods of excessive energy demands. Levels of CoQ10 are also significantly lower in women who use oral contraceptives and other estrogens.
Supplementing with CoQ10 is especially important if taking cholesterol-lowering prescriptions (e.g., Lipitor) as most cholesterol-lowering drugs deplete CoQ10 levels. This is especially tragic because this deficiency can aggravate both the pain and decreased heart function seen in CFS/fibromyalgia. It can also worsen the congestive heart failure (CHF) seen in patients with heart disease.
For an outstanding morning energy cocktail, take CoQ10 along with Ribose (5 gm) and the Energy Revitalization System vitamin powder. Give this combo 3 weeks, and prepare to be amazed!
